The Alaskan Pipeline project began in 1971. It crosses 4,784 miles of mountains, floodplains, and faults, sending two million barrels of crude oil through it daily. This pipeline is the largest privately-financed pipeline project in U.S. history. Six thousand people are working together to make this project possible; as we are here, working together to serve you. Thanks to America's ingenuity and workers, the U.S. stands second to none!
